If you’ve ever walked around a garden area, you’ll likely have noticed a channel drain next to the tiles or paving stones.
A Deep Profile Drain also known as "A Channel Drain or French Drain" includes a metal grate that can be lifted off to reveal a deep channel approx 10-15cm deep
Low Profile Drains include a shallow channel of approx 3-5cm deep, and if installed correctly can achieve the same flow rate as a Deep Profile Drain.
CAN A LOW PROFILE DRAIN ACHIEVE THE SAME FLOW RATE AS A DEEP PROFILE DRAIN?
The flow rate is calculated on the amount of water that can discharge through the base of the channel. Aquabocci has developed a range of Spigot / Outlets which are attached to the underside of the channel to increase the flow rate.
Spigot / Outlets are available in 50mm, 75mm, 90mm and 100mm sizes and easily connect to standard plumbing pipes to increase the flow rate
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF LOW PROFILE DRAINS?
Many building projects have limited floor build up, so the ability to increase the flow rate in a shallow profile has increased the demand for Low Profile Drainage products.
When installing a low profile drain on top of the slab you can save time and money and remove the need for a set down in the floor that is required for Deep Profile Drains.
Low Profile Linear Drains are designed to run the full length of the paving / tile area, allowing you to slope the tiles towards the drain without the need for wedge tile cuts.
ARE LOW PROFILE DRAINS AS FUNCTIONAL AS DEEP PROFILE DRAINS?
Working on the development of a new product, choosing every detail, from design to materials, is an interesting experience. Creating water Drainage Products has a lot of responsibility surrounding it, getting the design right can only be achieved through experience solving problems on building projects.
Aquabocci has 10 years experience working on projects in Europe, UK and Australia. During this time the company has developed the largest range of Low Profile Drains in the UK with a proven track record of success.

IS THERE A LOW PROFILE DRAIN SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR DIY?

Aquabocci's fast assembly fitting system includes standard lengths and corner pieces which are easily joined using the connector pcs and end caps. Spigot / Outlets and Syphon / Traps can be attached in any location along the channel so you don’t have to relocate your existing groundwork pipes.
WHERE CAN I INSTALL LOW PROFILE DRAINS?
Whether you are limited by the floor build up or not you can install Low Profile Drains in any location.

The most common installation areas for Low Profile Drains are:

CAN I ATTACH A SYPHON TRAP TO A LOW PROFILE DRAIN ?
